I partner with Bader Philanthropies for education and nonprofit photography in Milwaukee, including these highlighted projects from 2025. Bader is a fantastic philanthropic organization local to me, and it’s been a joy to partner with them to capture the ways they support our Milwaukee community and beyond.
We worked together for commercial photography at some of their grantee locations. We photographed at Trinity Equine Therapy in northern Wisconsin, as well as a couple of educational institutions right here in Milwaukee. Here a few personal highlights from working with them last year.
What Makes This Partnership Special
Founded in 1992, Bader Philanthropies works in areas like aging and Alzheimer’s care, youth development, employment initiatives, Jewish education, and community revitalization. Their global headquarters sits right in Milwaukee’s Harambee neighborhood, which speaks volumes about their commitment to being present in the communities they serve.
The Trinity Equine Therapy shoot was particularly memorable. Located near Eau Claire on a sprawling 67-acre ranch, this organization provides equine-assisted therapy for youth, veterans, and trauma survivors. Watching the quiet connection between participants and horses, that moment of healing that happens through relationship, was incredibly moving to witness and document.
Back in Milwaukee, we photographed at educational institutions benefiting from Bader’s grants. These sessions gave me a front-row seat to see how strategic philanthropy creates real ripples of change throughout our city.
Why This Work Matters
What I love about working with Bader is the breadth of their impact. From rural therapy programs to urban schools, they’re committed to improving quality of life for diverse communities. Capturing these stories through my lens has been more than a professional opportunity. It’s been a chance to document hope, healing, and community transformation in action. It’s work that reminds me why I became a commercial photographer in the first place.
