Summer in Milwaukee is synonymous with brewery visits, outdoor patios, and golden-hour happy hours. It’s the perfect time of year to capture lifestyle, editorial marketing images for beer tourism, when the season and weather is the best. I love living in the Midwest and experiencing seasons, but especially the defrosted seasons. As a hospitality photographer in Milwaukee, part of my job is capturing tourism and the abundant incredible places to visit in our city.
For this shoot, my crew and I visited some local favorites: Lakefront Brewery and Third Space Brewing. Lakefront Brewery is so picturesque and set right on the Milwaukee River, making it an ideal spot if you love the water. It’s a great location for watching boats, kayaks, and others enjoying the space along the waterway. Third Space Brewing is located on St Paul Avenue, a popular street in Milwaukee’s downtown area. The brewery itself is situated just west of downtown, in an industrial area of town that’s perfectly suited for a brew pub. They fit right into the neighborhood, and offer a patio space to enjoy on a nice warm-weather day.
